Charych-Dunkle Addition, Albany, California
A second-story was added to this small “Mid-century Moderne”
home. By removing most of the interior walls and relocating the
master bedroom upstairs, the kitchen was expanded to the rear of
the home where a new french door leads to the deck. The fireplace
was moved to an exterior wall with matching stained glass windows.
New windows throughout the home take advantage of breathtaking views
and the stair atrium features a built-in window seat with views
of the East Bay hills. The new upstairs master suite includes a
bath and features pine ceilings which match the original ceilings
downstairs.
