Holan Bathroom Redux, Albany, California
The most unique feature of this Albany home was the original violet
wainscot tile in its bathroom. However, the shower pan had to be
rebuilt. As the unsightly tile was not original in the shower area,
this was an opportunity to improve an otherwise generous 1930's
bathroom. Once tile was selected for the shower area that complemented
the wainscot tile, it was determined that the pink and black floor
tiles had reached the end of their life span and the floor was retiled
to match the shower. Period light fixtures and a recycled pedestal
sink were installed to complete the ensemble.
